Girls Out Loud

  • Brand
  • Charity

Girls Out Loud is a not for profit organisation on a mission to raise the aspirations of teenage girls in the UK‭. ‬Their work targets vulnerable teenage girls age 12-16‭ ‬and takes place in the school environment through inspiring role models‭. ‬

They needed to bring back together and update their brand which had become fragmented over time‭. ‬I worked closely with Jane‭, ‬the‭ ‬CEO to‭:‬

  • Update the main logo and create new and consistent programme logos
  • Defined the colour palette including bringing in a secondary colour for each programme
  • Introduced updated look‭ ‬&‭ ‬feel elements
  • Introduced two new secondary fonts
  • Defined a photography style and brought in a photographer to build an initial image library
  • Updated the brand guidelines
  • Designed key publications and templates using the new guidelines and assets

I’m now working on more templates and updating the website with the new style and photography‭.‬

Jane Kenyon MBE, Girls out loud CEO was kind enough to say, Jo delivered a brand upgrade at Girls Out Loud CIC – she is honest, measured and takes time to really understand client needs and expectations. Starting this process with a new designer after working with the same brand designer for over 30 years was daunting and overwhelming, but Jo managed the transition with care and grace offering advice and delivering exactly what I needed from a design and delivery perspective. I feel confident this is the beginning of a long and mutually beneficial relationship, and I have no hesitation recommending Jo to other organisations.”
