We run a regular Charity Marketing Peer Support group to bring together individual marketers within charities to support each other. We feel that marketing can be a function that’s often overlooked and critical in ensuring people know what you do, how you can help them or how they can support you.

The session is FREE, is for 2 hours from 10am on the 2nd Wednesday of the month and currently happens online using zoom which means you can join us from wherever you are! Please do join our private facebook group here too, you’ll be most welcome.

The format of the session is introductions, followed by an hour’s tutorial or presentation from a marketing professional, including plenty of opportunity to ask them questions. The second hour is facilitated networking where members bring challenges to discuss with their peers. This time has provided some fantastic support for the charities that attend.

We’ve been running these for two years now and in a recent feedback survey 100% of attendees said that they would recommend them!

Upcoming sessions:

When we asked what topics you would like to cover in future Peer Support Groups, your resounding top answer was ‘Communications Strategy’. So, in true ‘You said, we did’ style, we have asked The Charity Academy’s Andrea Holland to deliver two sessions that will help you to kick start your communication strategy for the forthcoming year.

Session 1 – Wednesday 9th February 2.30pm to 4.30pm

This session will focus on analysis of your current situation, setting communication objectives and identifying your strategic focus. We will look at ways you can inform your strategy, how to work smarter not harder and how to identify your priorities. We will also have a think about measurement and how to demonstrate the impact you are making to both your colleagues and your Board. CLICK HERE to book.

Session 2 – Wednesday 9th March 2.30pm to 4.30pm

This session will focus on tools and techniques to help you to streamline and deliver your strategy. We will look at stakeholder messaging grids, the communication journey and the processes to put in place to ensure your communications are supporting your organisation’s goals. CLICK HERE to book.
