Ruby’s – Impact Report 2023-24

Ruby’s is a Cheshire-based charity supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and their families. It holds a very special place in my heart as I’ve worked with them for many years, supporting them through a rebrand and new website and I’ve also benefitted personally from their amazing support.

I have loved working with them to do their second Impact Report. When we put the first one together we established a framework for them to gather data. They’ve done this brilliantly and they also had lots of new ideas for how to get feedback over the last 12 months.

This year I have added a location map to show the geographical reach of the people they support and structured it around the four areas of their work – Community support, Short Breaks, Siblings Wellbeing and their new 16-25 SEND Volunteering Project. Each sections talks about the problem, their solution, the impact and their plans for next year. They also include an amazing case study about one child who has benefited from Ruby’s support. We had to go up from 12 pages last year, to 20 pages just to fit it all in!

They found last year’s report invaluable for communicating what their value is to donors, corporates and other potential supporters. This one is even stronger.

The 2023-24 Impact Report is available to see in full on Ruby’s website. Get in touch if you need help to create an Impact Report to demonstrate your organisation’s work.
