Ruby’s is a Cheshire-based charity supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and their families.
Since we rebranded Ruby’s and built them a new website they have been on a design retainer for our services, which means we meet with them regularly and can support them with anything they need, like when they recently wanted to refresh their fundraising materials.
With our extensive fundraising experience, we reviewed their existing materials and suggested new collateral that would help them stand out to a wide range of potential supporters.
One idea that we felt really strongly about was that they needed an Impact Report. Separate from their annual financial report, this celebrates their successes over the past year, thanks their existing donors, and encourages new supporters to join them. It was designed in Ruby’s new brand, and features data, photos, and service user quotes the charity can now use on social media throughout the year.
As well as helping build new relationships, the Impact Report will also play a key role in the charity’s donor journey, increasing supporter retention.
From our discussions of how the report will be used and the type of content to be included, we designed a 12-page A5 booklet. This is now available in print, and as a digital pdf to maximise the report’s use, increasing return on investment.
Compiling the content was a rewarding experience for the Ruby’s team as they could reflect on their successes, and we loved learning more about the impact they are having on the lives of children in Cheshire.
The 2022-23 Impact Report will be a template for future reports, becoming a firm fixture in their annual fundraising plans.
Quote from Alison:
“The team at JG Creative have recently helped us with our Impact Report. They helped us to showcase the work we do at Ruby’s and we are really proud of the result. JG made suggestions we wouldn’t have thought of and helped us to get ideas out of our heads and into a meaningful format. They turned the report around in super quick time to fit with our deadline, for which we are really grateful.”
